Big news: Starting January 4 I will be joining The Nantucket Project (TNP) as Communications Director. TNP brings the world’s leading thinkers and creators together to explore the question “What really matters in a noisy and messy world?” What mattered most in 2016? Take a look (3 min video):
At TNP’s annual “The Big Show” on Nantucket and satellite events across the country, speakers reveal game-changing ideas in short talks and films. Past presenters include Tony Blair, Steve Case, Peter Thiel, Julie Taymor, Deepak Chopra, Seth Godin, Kelly Corrigan, and many more. As a think tank and academy of learners, TNP also runs a Scholars program to incubate up-and-coming visionaries.
I love how TNP Founder and CEO Tom Scott (who also created Nantucket Nectars and the HBO television series The Neistat Brothers) is seeking the universe yet to be discovered, the future about to be made real. TNP represents everything I have passionately advocated for as the author of Some Nerve to face our fear of the unknown and forge new paths with courage. With the rise of fake news the world needs to not fall prey to fear and mistrust but to create and discover new reliable sources of information, inspiration and true engagement. I could not be prouder to join TNP’s team.
“We don’t do things how they’ve been done before,” Tom Scott said at my interview. “How are you with going outside your comfort zone?” Er, SIGN ME UP!
What will matter in 2017? Engage with The Nantucket Project (i.e., me!) on social media and be the first to know:
And Register for TNP The Big Show Sept 14-17, 2017 (or join us as a volunteer) and I’ll see you in Nantucket!
